A Movement that Changes Lives. One Teen at a Time.
In Israel’s socio-economic periphery, thousands of teenagers grow up believing they have:
NO FUTURE.
NO SUPPORT SYSTEM.
NO SAFE SPACE.
NO SENSE THAT THEY MATTER.
At Ma’agalim, we change that.
We mentor at-risk high school students during the two most critical years of their lives - 11th and 12th grade - when they are 16- and 17-year-olds. We walk them through fear, failure, confusion, and silence, and teach them how to believe in themselves again, and that their lives matter. That they are important.
Each teen is paired with a personal
mentor, in partnership with the Israeli
Ministry of Education. Together, the
teen and their mentor uncover their
identity, their responsibility, purpose,
and pride.
Our goal isn’t charity. It’s transformation.
Watch the below video for an example of one at-risk’s youth’s life that has changed thanks to his mentor from Ma’agalim.
